As an experienced Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist and surgeon, I bring over two decades of expertise in managing a comprehensive range of ENT conditions for adults and children. Currently, I practice privately at the Lakeside Specialist Centre in Takapuna, located in Auckland’s North Shore, while also serving as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Waitemata District Health Board.

Originally from Durban, South Africa, I made the move to New Zealand in December 2022 to advance my professional journey within a new healthcare landscape.

I completed my medical degree in 1997 and began my formal training in ENT surgery in 2004, becoming a qualified specialist ENT surgeon in 2007.

My early career in the public health system of South Africa provided a solid foundation in ENT surgery, where I encountered a high volume of diverse cases that significantly honed my clinical and surgical skills. Until 2011, I worked as a consultant in the public sector, with responsibilities that included training registrars and medical students as well as managing a busy ENT department in Durban.

From 2012 to 2022, I successfully operated a private practice at Entabeni Hospital in Durban, where I offered a full range of ENT services. Additionally, I received extra training in cochlear implantation—a transformative surgical intervention for patients with profound hearing loss—and felt privileged to provide life-changing treatment to eligible patients during this time.

I strongly believe that quality ENT care is built on compassion, scientific evidence, and effective communication. I take pride in my respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered approach, always striving for the best possible outcomes through tailored and collaborative care.

In my spare time, I cherish moments with my wonderful wife Seema and our amazing sons. I also enjoy running, playing golf, learning and playing Indian musical instruments, and gardening.
